Ricardo Amarante

Choreographer, artistic associate

Ricardo Amarante graduated from English National Ballet School. He worked in the world-famous theatres of Europe: Opera de Paris, Royal Ballet of Flanders, where he performed leading roles in classical repertoires: “Giselle”, “The Nutcracker”, “Romeo and Juliet”, “Sleeping Beauty”, “Swan Lake” as well as in ballets of Christopher d’Amboise, William Forsythe, Hans van Manen, Jiri Kylian. He cooperated as a choreographer with ballet companies like Royal Ballet School of Antwerp, Palucca University of Dance in  Dresden, New York City Ballet and others. Ricardo created several significant productions for Royal Baller of  Flanders including “A Fuego Lento”, “Aquarela”, “Sonho Angelical”, “Train of Thoughts”, “Lune’ air”, “Love Fear Loss”, “Rondo Copriccioso” and “A Soulful Touch”. His productions have been presented on leading stages of Europe, Asia and America.

 

From 2015 Ricardo is working at “Astana Ballet” Theatre. He has produced one-act ballets “Gaia”, “Love Fear Loss” and “A Fuego Lento”.
