Ilya Manayenkov

Leading soloist

Ilya is leading soloist in Astana Ballet Theatre. He graduated Thella Yellin School in Israel. In 2008 he joined the Israel Ballet company where he performed Classic Ballets and neo classical works. Ilya had opportunity to work with a great dancer and choreographer, national artist of the USSR Vladimir Vasilyev on the poet role in the ballet “Chopiniana”.

In 2013 Ilya has moved to Antwerp, Belgium where he danced with the Royal Ballet of Flanders. He played lead role in classic ballet Blue Bird in Marcia Haydee’s The Sleeping Beauty, Espada and Bolero in Alexei Fedeechev’s Don Quixote, Paris in Romeo and Juliet. He also danced neo Classic and contemporary ballets by Christian Spuck, Glen Tetley, Hans van Mannen, Maurice Bejart, Nicolo Fonte, Ricardo Amarante, Alexander Ekman, Kurt Joss, Jeroen Vebruggen. Ilya has moved to Astana Ballet in September 2016.
